As always we will talk in form of questions and try to install Ubuntu as the main OS. Make sure legacy BIOS doesn't require an EFI partition table or GPT partition type. If you have Legacy bios first convert it to UEFI to get the secure boot and better boot speed. Else leave everything as it is and read this blog. I'm going to show you How to install Ubuntu as the main OS for legacy (MBR partition) and UEFI (GPT partition) bios type too.

Create Ubuntu bootable USB (Rufus)?
Bootable USB can be created for different BIOS types using different applications. For that, you need to know your BIOS type first. Please watch the video above to know better.

To create Ubuntu bootable USB follow the steps written below:
Step 1. Identify your system type.
Go to windows 10 and press Windows + r and type msinfo32 hit enter. On the right-hand side, you can see the BIOS type.
For legacy, BIOS uses the Ventory application to create bootable USB.
For UEFI BIOS use the Rufus application to create a bootable USB.
Step 2. Download Rufus and create a bootable USB
Go to https://rufus.ie/ and download the appropriate version for your windows machine.
Step 3. Go to Ubuntu Linux's official website and download ISO.
Step 4. Click on this PC, locate your USB, create a backup and formate it.

Step 5. Go to rufus.ie and download the latest executable EXE file.
Step 6. Go to the download folder and click on rufus.exe. Configure the Rufus settings to the same shown in the image below and click on start. (I've configured it to support UEFI BIOS if you are creating bootable USB for legacy BIOS
change the partition scheme to MBR).

Uuntu installation steps?
Step 1. Restart your device. Press F10 or F12 to load the boot menu.
Step 2. Select UEFI disk to boot from.
Step 3. Click on install ubuntu and select your language.
Step 4. Now you can see the installation setup, select Normal installation (check Download update while installing ubuntu and install third-party software for graphics and Wi-fi hardware and additional media formats).
